I've just seen it popping on youtube, you're absolutely right, it's glorious! I love this song, it's really very good.
It also has a very strong n°1 hit potential, methinks :)

I like this song, those opening guitar chords could be early Beatles

I would say... the song title is perfect ...
nomen est omen

and the production is very good though, I must admit!

Could this be the new show closer to replace 'All That' ?

Can picture Russel conducting the crowd to join in with the chorus

If we get 'Goofing Off' and 'MTYCDT' it's going to be one hell of a concert

I've played a few St. Patrick's Day gigs over the years, so am hardly in a position to do so, Henry I don't hear Celtic folk in this, but am greatly enjoying the track.

When I first heard this last night, this is what immediately came to mind, and I can't shake it. Sorry for the irreverence.

It’s interesting how people hear music differently! I’m seriously not hearing any similarity at all from a couple of chords. But “dtmow” morphs to me into Alexanders Ragtime Band, because I pick up first on rhythm.

Just on this topic, I was browsing YT last night because of the new album, and came back to Edith Piaf. There's a guy on there who claims it's a rip of Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes". Well, I know that song well and try as I might I can't hear even the slightest similarity! I'm really curious if anyone here can hear something???

This track is one of the album's highlights, I'd say. The lyrics cleverly say just enough about the situation, and pull off being both witty and sad.

@SteveBoyce, I ask that you listen to the bit from A Little Bit of Light Banter first (it will start at the right part of the song)
https://tinyurl.com/ypjwncjj

And then listen to Adam Sandler (also at the right part)
https://tinyurl.com/2zv3bs5j

I'm not saying it's plagiarized. I just find it funny.

Not a speck, not a mote of resemblance.

Just put my headphones on to listen to that, still not really hearing it, sorry! Though I can hear, the same chord

Try Suburban Homeboy / Back Home (England football team), or I Want to Be Like Everybody Else / Mockingbird, also there’s a phrase from I405 that echoes We Go dancing from the previous album
